ASL Consultant | Deaf Lens Coach | Leadership Mentor
ASL Scope is a transformative platform dedicated to expanding access, fluency, and confidence in American Sign Language. Founded by Sean Cosslett, a Deaf professional with a uniquely interdisciplinary background spanning electrical engineering, psychology, performing arts, and Deaf Studies, ASL Scope bridges language and culture through authentic connection.
Sean’s journey began in higher education, where he worked closely with interpreters across technical and academic settings. Through these experiences, he discovered the power of language to not only facilitate access but to empower identity and professional growth. With over four years of experience collaborating with interpreters and teaching sign language, Sean founded ASL Scope to guide clients in achieving breakthroughs, whether through developing ASL fluency, preparing for certification, or refining professional presence.
His teaching philosophy centers on accessibility, creativity, and real-world application. Sean’s approach weaves together storytelling, visual strategies, and cultural insight to help learners of all levels, from ASL 1 through 5, cultivate both expressive skill and cultural fluency.
Beyond teaching, Sean’s work celebrates the diversity of Deaf experiences and the evolving role of language in shaping identity and community. Through personalized coaching, interpreter mentorship, and community workshops, he continues to build bridges between Deaf and hearing worlds.
ASL Scope stands as more than a language learning platform. It’s a movement grounded in connection, empowerment, and the belief that language can transform how we see ourselves and each other.
